We found out at Aubrey's 4 year well child check that she would probably have to get glasses. Her left eye was not tracking with her right eye. The eye doctor said that kids can train themselves to use one eye over the other if they notice that it is better. So, this is what she was doing. We just got her glasses this week, so it's still new to all of us. She's doing really well with them and is already getting used to the routines involved with taking care of them and putting them on in the morning, etc. I had a little bit of a hard time with it because it's hard to see that your child needs extra help with anything. Thankfully it's a problem that will go away and not require any major fixes. We are praying that the glasses help her eyes track together because if they don't, we will have to patch her right eye. We go back in November to see how it's going. The other good news is that she may not always have to wear glasses. She will until her eyes are finished devleoping, but after that, who knows?
*In case you are wondering, these are not her underwear, they are bloomers that she was playing with!

Aubrey looks so cute in her glasses! What big kids! It was fun seeing you the other night! Travis is biased--I still like scrapbooking better!! :)
Good job on your blog! I was wondering about Aubrey's panties at her ankles in the photo. Thanks for clarifying that they were bloomers:) She looks very sweet in her new glasses.
I love Aubrey's glasses, she will be the envy of her little friends. My sister got glasses when she was three years old, it sounds like she had the same issue as Aubrey. You will be happy to know that she has outgrown the problem and now doesn't need glasses at all.
Love,
kristi
those look like panites to me :-)
