Amish, Brothers and Other Imaginative Things

Cameron's thing lately has been an obsession with being amish. He says that he wants to be amish when he grows up, that he will take care of his horses and have a buggy. He tells everyone that he meets that he wants to be amish. On Friday night we took the kids to Shannon and Scotty's and as soon as we walked in the door he told them, "I want to be amish when I grow up. That's my favorite thing that I tell everyone." I know he loves animals and the thought of being a farmer (which in his mind equals being amish) so I think that's where the fascination comes from.

His other thing lately has been to talk about his brothers. He plays with them, tells stories about them and pretends that they do lots of things. Like today he asked me if he fell into a cactus, would it hurt? I, of course, said yes. Then he told me that happened to one of his brothers once. Too funny! Usually their names are his favorite made up names, Binum and Bergie. Who knows where they came from, but those are the names he uses consistently. He even told us a few weeks ago that they were playing football on t.v. He pointed out which ones they were and told us all about them.

I love this stage of make believe and dreams, isn't it wonderful?

Haha! Grace has quite the imagination these days, also! Although her dreams are not to be amish when she grows up or to have more brothers. :) The names are what I especially love -- her friend's name is Retcher. Where do they come up with these things?!
