Last week we got the chance to go away for two days. Ryan had some meetings to go to in St. Paul on Wednesday, so we left a day early and took the kids to Nickelodian Universe at the Mall of America. They had a lot of fun on the rides. It was good to see them go by themselves. Aubrey took care of Cameron and she did a good job of leading the way. They enjoyed all the rides and have talked about them a lot since. We also went swimming at our hotel for about 30 minutes, but it was the highlight of the trip for Cameron. It was good to see them in the water and to see how Lauren enjoyed it as well. The highlight of the trip for me was to see my college roommate and her family. We hadn't seen them in years, so it was fun to meet all their kids and for them to meet ours. We had dinner with them on Tuesday evening and then I took the kids to their house on Wednesday while Ryan worked. Our kids had fun together. Micah and Aubrey played well together and Noah and Cameron did too. It was great to catch up with Stephanie and to see how time can melt away when you are with a good friend!
