We had a fun holiday weekend starting on Friday night when we surprised the kids by taking them to see Cars 2. Aubrey and Cameron enjoyed it, I think Lauren did too, but she didn't watch much of the movie. That's probably why children under 3 are free!
Saturday afternoon and evening were spent on the lake with Shannon, Scotty and Lilly. The kids loved it, and we did too. Aubrey and Cameron were even braver than last year, they both jumped off the boat and went tubing. Lauren loved the water, she even went tubing for the first time. We found a place to beach the boat and we all got in the water and swam for awhile. It was all very relaxing and fun. I love that we can do such fun things with our family!

Lauren and Lilly loved the water. In fact Lilly wanted to get in the whole time. Shannon and Scotty came up with the idea of dipping them in over the side of the boat and they loved it!

Sunday was a fun day with lunch at the Kalona park with family and then the evening was spent relaxing at home and a bike ride to Dane's Dairy.
Monday brought more fun with the parade in the morning, lunch at Jeremy and Lisa's (and swimming too of course) and grilling in the evening at Greg and Emily's. We were going to go to fireworks, but I got a horrible migrane and had to leave the party early. Lauren and I stayed home and slept while Ryan took the two older ones to the fireworks.
