Nugget of wisdom

Sunday we celebrated all the November birthdays in my family at mom and dad's.  In the card from my parents my dad wrote a little nugget of wisdom for me.

Life's an adventure, don't solve it but enjoy it.  Worries will age you, so smile and be part of God's unfolding plans.

This brought tears to my eyes, not only because my dad is full of wisdom and he knows what I need to hear, but also because my grandpa Marner used to write little poems and such in my birthday cards every year.  This is the first birthday of mine that he's not here for and it was special to have my dad carry on that tradition.  I don't know if he even meant to continue the tradition, or if he just wanted to share some wisdom.  Either way, it is much appreciated!  

It's almost a year since Grandpa passed away and I've been missing him a lot lately, but this helped get me through by putting a smile on my face.
