Miller Family Reunion

This past weekend we went to Crooked Creek Christian Camp for a Miller family reunion. Ryan's grandma is turning 90 this summer, so we had a big get together. A few of Ryan's cousins were not able to attend, but most were and the number of people was around 80! The camp where we stayed is very nice. We got our own room and bathroom too. All the families with small children got these rooms and everyone else had rooms with bunk beds and a dorm style bathroom. Thankfully we didn't have to cook, we just had the camp cook for us and paid them, it was well worth it. The weather was nice, but not warm enough to enjoy the pool, which made the kids sad. There was a swing set and sandbox right outside of the lodge where we stayed, so we spent a lot of time out there. Downstairs there was a room for the kids to roam. It was a great set-up. On Saturday morning we all went over to the activity center. Ryan tried rock climbing and the kids discovered carpet ball. Lauren slept in the front pack and I watched it all happen.

Aubrey trying to jump rope. She did fairly well, but it's hard to time when to jump.

Ryan and 3 of his cousins have kids around the same age. Three of us have girl, boy, girl. This picture is of the 3 year old boys: Grady, Will, Max, Cameron and Will (Max and the second Will are twins, I think I got it right, but not sure who is who between them).

The 4 1/2 and 5 year old girls: Ainsley, Ellie, Aubrey and Dawsyn. The kids played fairly well together, and by the end of the weekend it seemed like they were finally warming up to each other. Maybe by the next reunion, they will play right away.

Cameron loves babies! Here he's playing with his cousin Haidyn.

Lauren in the front pack, how adorable!

Cameron and Aubrey had fun learning to play carpet ball. If you don't know how to play, Ryan will be happy to teach you, he thinks he is the king of carpet ball.

Aubrey trying her hand at it.

Sophie, Grady and Cameron trying to play fuse ball. Needless to say, fuseball with two 3 year olds and two 4 year olds didn't work very well.

I enjoyed this post because Brian and I are considering doing something similar through our church's "Family Camp". We'll see if we decide to try it or not but I enjoyed seeing how you guys spent your time!
