Relaxing

Ryan had a few days of training in Chicago this week and I went along, without kids; it was absolutely wonderful!  When he first asked if I wanted to go, I wasn't too sure.  We were staying downtown and he would be gone all day.  What would I do?  Well, I soon realized that all day to myself would not be a problem, even if I never left the hotel room.  It was so wonderful to sleep in, read until my heart was content, eat when I was hungry, not when my kids were, and even exercise.  Now, I have to say that is a stretch for me, but without anyone else to worry about and without a schedule, exercise fit in nicely, both days too!  I did get out and shop, there were so many stores right down the street.  I have to say that it was nice to have everything close, but I wouldn't give up my wonderful small city life for the hustle and bustle of people everywhere.  A special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Miller who made this trip possible by watching the kids.  I'm sure my kids even benefited from this time away; their mother is much more sane now!
