May Fun

Lots of fun has been happening at the Miller household.  Since we've finished school a few weeks ago the kids have been keeping very busy with creative games and I've been getting lots of cleaning and organizing done! A few highlights below.

Cameron gets Lego Club Jr. magazine and every month there is a contest.  This month it was building something to do with sports.  He started out building a football stadium, but changed to a basketball court.  I thought he did an amazing job! Now every day he is excited to check the mail to see if he has won the $100 gift card. I told him the contest doesn't close until the beginning of June, but I don't think he's comprehended this yet.

We watched Mr. Popper's Penguins and then next day the kids set up a zoo in the living room with all their stuffed animals.  They organized the animals by type and for the penguins they got ice and their play eggs.  It was hilarious to see the inspiration from the movie come through in real life.

We went to the Coralville Dam and Fossil Gorge on a field trip.  It was a gorgeous day and we had lots of fun exploring.  I think we'll have to go back again this summer to explore some more!

Looks like fun!! I agree--I'm getting a lot of cleaning/organizing done, too, now that school is done. Amazing! I'll have to check out the fossil gorge!
