Easter Celebrations

Easter is such a wonderful time to remember what Jesus did for each one of us by dying on the cross.  This wonderful gift gives us a worthy reason to celebrate!

The kids and I had fun making resurrection rolls and dying eggs.  We tried something new this year with the eggs, we wrapped rubber bands around them and then dropped them in the dye.  It worked well when the rubber bands were tight, but if they were loose at all, they just came off.  This proved a little frustrating for both Aubrey and Cameron, but they did a good job and I think the eggs turned out well.

My cousin Jessica and her husband Jeremy were here for the weekend so on Saturday night we had a cousin's night at Shannon and Scotty's.  We had a great time playing spoons, even if it was a little dangerous.  I think some people walked away from the game a little bit scarred and bruised, but I didn't lose, so that's always a good thing! We had an egg hunt for the kids, but since it was raining, we had to have it inside.  We had a few too many eggs I think because we didn't even remember where we hid them all and the kids came home with way too much candy.  On Easter Sunday we went to Mom and Dad's for lunch and had another egg hunt, this time outside.  In the evening we went to Mark and Irma's and the kids got to have a third egg hunt and fly their new kites. It was really windy, so the kites were great!

All the kids minus Ashlyn, who was sick

Easter outfits-Cameron's smile kills me!  He tries so hard and he just can't figure it out when he's supposed to pose for a picture, it just doesn't come naturally right now for him.

 Is it up there?
