Our baby is 4!

Lauren turned 4 on December 15 and even though I call her my baby, she is adamant that she is NOT a baby. I even try to convince her that she is my baby since she is the youngest, but to no avail.  Where have 4 years gone?
Lauren's sleepy breakfast look (I finally got a "you are special" plate for birthdays and special days and she was the first one to be able to use it)

Lauren wanted a Dora cake for her birthday. I was a little nervous about making it because I made one for Aubrey's 2nd birthday and I remember it being very difficult. It had so many different colors and it was also only the second cake I had ever made. Thankfully this time it went must smoother and I think it turned out well. Of course the kids were very impressed, so mission accomplished! The other thing she wanted was to have her party at the nursing home so Great Grandma Marner could be there. That touched me since Grandma has always been an important part of my life. I'm so thankful that she gets to be part of my kids' lives also.

Sweet sisters

Lauren is in the cheesy smile phase

I love how excited she is about training wheels (she'd been asking Ryan to fix her bike for awhile, but the training wheels we had didn't fit her bike so she got a bonus present of training wheels).

The audience of kids kept creeping closer and closer and we had to have them scoot back between every present. You have to love the enthusiasm.

We had a small party for Lauren and Brayden at our house the week after their birthdays. They were very excited, but due to illness the party was quite small. It didn't seem to phase the birthday kids though.
