Each year we bake cookies with both sides of our family. At my mom's we always bake sugar cookies and let the kids roll out the dough and decorate the cookies. It's fun to see how involved they get. Of course it is messy, but it's worth the clean up that's required! We do boys and girls separately since we don't have space to do them all at once. I have to say this is one of the most delicious traditions we have since homemade sugar cookies are one of my all-time favorites!
