This year Lauren turned 6! I know I say this every year, but it's truly hard to believe that my baby is 6 years old. She loves life and lives every day with enthusiasm. Kindergarten is going so well and she loves every day of it.
Lauren invited all of her classmates and one other friend to her party. She didn't want anything extravagant, just boughten cupcakes (which is funny because she doesn't like the frosting, I think she just likes the way they look) and a few games to play. We had the party on Friday after school and the kids enjoyed eating and just running around creating their own games. I probably wouldn't have had to plan anything and they would have been just fine.
For the family party she wanted mac and cheese again, which is no surprise considering she orders it anytime we go out to eat. For dessert she chose whoopie pies.
This is a good picture of how it always is at birthday parties. No matter who the birthday child is, all the cousins want to have a close up seat for all the present action.
