A visit from old friends

Last weekend we had some family friends visit from Minnesota and Wisconsin.  These are people that my family visited all my life, but as things often go, we hadn't seen them in years.  Literally, I don't think I'd seen Sheila (one of the "kids") since her wedding in 1994.  I know that I've seen Diane (the mom) and Lenn (the other "kid") since then, but still not for quite some time.  We had a fun weekend seeing Kalona, boating and just hanging out. Our kids were a little confused as to who these people were. Cameron seemed to think that my mom was their kids' grandma.  Yes, we've hid a cousin from him all these years!  It was so funny.  I don't know if they ever figured it out or not.

The whole gang (minus Lilly)

Cameron's highlight to the weekend was definitely the buggy ride. One of my parents' amish neighbors agreed to take us all on buggy rides.  When Cameron got off the buggy, his eyes were filled with delight.  Out of respect to the neighbor, I didn't take any close up pictures, but I did get one of the buggy going down the road.
